- 🎹 Dr. Nnenna Ogwo — A renowned pianist, educator, and Juneteenth LP‘s founder/artistic director, she has performed globally, from Europe to the US. Her mission is to broaden classical music horizons. In 2019, she officially launched the Juneteenth LP, spotlighting the African Diaspora’s artistic brilliance through Black classically trained musicians. Her dedication earned her the Chamber Music America Artist Grant in 2022, elevating her Juneteenth celebration to a weeklong NYC event. Dr. Ogwo began her piano journey at age 6, studying at prestigious institutions and receiving accolades like the Fulbright Award. Today, she’s a sought-after musician and educator, and her latest album, “Luminous,” was released in May 2023.
